Rachel and Al are those kind of people that you just like being around. There’s a warmth there, and always a smile. I simply loved being a part of their day. They had chosen Pylewell Park in the New Forest as their venue, along with St Mary’s church which is a mere 5 minute walk away, 2 venues which just screamed to be photographed.
I met Rachel and the girls at Pylewell for the getting ready pics, and it wasn’t long before the bridesmaids were trying out the huge copper bathtubs in the room (in full dress just in case you thought you’d stumbled on a very different kind of photoshoot). Every inch of this place is grand, opulent, and yet at the same time very organic.
These guys are the reason I love shooting weddings. They let me do whatever I wanted pretty much. I even convinced them to head to the dilapidated greenhouse for some portraits, just because. I’ll never get tired of that trust that couples put in me, and their willingness to try anything even if it may not work out. I loved every minute.
