Bottle and Glass Inn Wedding Photography

Sophie and Joe’s wedding at The Bottle and Glass Inn in Hampshire was the perfect blend of rustic charm, relaxed vibes, and heartfelt moments. Tucked away in the Berkshire countryside, this beautiful pub wedding venue created the ideal backdrop for their celebration — from the colourful decor, to the cosy, characterful interiors and the laid-back garden setting. Their day was full of laughter, personal touches, and golden light, making it a joy to capture and a brilliant example of why Hampshire pub weddings are always so memorable.

I adore shooting at a new venue, one that I haven’t clapped eyes on yet and I get to see it for the first time. I get to go in with no preconceived ideas of what I’m going to do, or how the day is going to pan out from a photography point of view. Such was the case with the pretty awesome barn at the Bottle and Glass Inn near Henley on Thames. Sophie and Joe’s day became a wedding that would live long in the memory, and this peach of a venue is now on my “must shoot at again” list.

I met Sophie at her parents house and captured her and her sisters getting ready, along with her parents. As is often the case, there were tears, laughter and everything in between. It’s always lush when the family are all togthjer for prep, it’s a proper little rite of passage, and seeing Sophie’s dad blubbing his eyes out truly tugged at the heartstrings.

The barn at the Bottle and Glass Inn was styled in the most amazing colours, with floristry to die for. The outside ceremony space also decked out in colourful flowers and ribbons. The day itself was a scorcher so the umbrellas provided were a blessing, and actually made for some cool pics. The ceremony was conducted by Sophie and Joe’s good friend and her words were perfect - engaging, humorous, and true, and I always love when a friend acts as celebrant.

Before long it was food and party time, and man alive do they know how to party, aided by one of the coolest bands I’ve ever witnessed (Truly, Medly, Deeply if you must know). This day quite frankly had it all.
