Burley Manor Wedding Photography
Sara & Oli // Burley Manor // New Forest
Where do I even start?? I’ve shot quite a few weddings at Burley Manor, and they’re always a blast, but Sara and Oli turned that up notch. They went all in. Sometimes a wedding seems to mean more that simply being a wedding, and to Sara and Oli they put their heart and soul into it to create a day full of energy, love, colour, and a huge dose of the awesome. Burley Manor in the New Forest was lucky enough to host such an affair, and I was lucky enough to capture it.
I arrived early and snapped the getting ready bits and all eyes were on the classic British summer weather. Not that a drop of rain would dampen the mood, but let’s be honest, you’d rather it didn’t piddle down if it can be helped. As it turns out, it was ok aside from a few spots, and we got to see Sara in her in her Halfpenny dressed glory in the dry, which was nice. When I say “dress” I really mean is a trouser and top combo with a cape. It was flipping mega!
They had the ceremony in the barn which was decorated with botanical amazingness by Oli’s extremely talented sister. It was pretty emotional, tears were wept for sure. We then headed out for some pics and drinks, and of course, the confetti! Let’s face it, the confetti shot is the money shot of weddings. You simply can’t beat it, and Sara and Oli’s was pretty epic! We even had some left over so used it in a few shots later. After dinner Sara, Oli and I headed up the hill for some portraits in the most warm, milky light I think I’ve ever encountered. It was simply divine.
With all that done, all that was left was a good old knees up. The band they had chosen were amazing (I feel like I’m saying that a lot about this wedding) and everyone danced like their lives depenced on it. I had THE BEST DAY!
Here’s Sara and Oli’s wedding at Burley Manor as I saw it.
