Colourful Festival Vibe Wedding at Hope Farm in Dorset // Sophie and Jamie

When Sophie and Jamie reached out about their wedding plans I was hooked instantly. Their venue - Hope Farm near Bridport in Dorset looked insane. Their love for all things Johnny Cash put them right in the “my cup of tea” group of people. And their desire for a fun, vibrant, but relaxed wedding was also right up my street. And so it was that I headed off to Dorset, looking very much forward to an epic day with the best people.

Hope Farm is such a beautiful place. Nestled in a slight valley, surrounded on all sides by rolling hills, you wouldn’t know it was there unless you, well…..knew it was there. From the car park at the top, guests are whisked down to the venue via on site Tuk-Tuk (insanely cool) and greeted by a collection of repurposed barns and outdoor ceremony space, with alpacas roaming the perimeter just to add to the feel.

I met Sophie and the girls in the bridal cottage, where make-up and hair were underway. I got to snap the venue, get my bearings, drink some coffee, and then meet Jamie and the guys when they arrived. We were all of us of course awaiting the guest of honour - their French Bulldog, Cash. I mean, could this pair be any cooler, naming their dog Cash. He had a very important job of ring bearer, and he looked very handsome indeed and the bestest boy ever.

The ceremony was in the most gorgeous little garden, surrounded by incredible decor from Botany and Blossom, and Winterborne Hire and Styling. I never get bored of seeing a couple’s reactions during a wedding ceremony. The nerves, the smiles, the glances, it’s just such a cool feeling getting to capture these little moments. After the ceremony we created the most insane confetti tunnel ever, before having drinks, food, and some photos. And then out came the smoke grenades.

It’s fair to say that this wedding had it all. I truly hope I get to go back to shoot a Hope Farm Wedding again, as what Sophie and Jamie created has left me wanting more. Here’s their wedding as I saw it.
