Confetti being thrown at newly weds at their wedding at the Kings Arms Hotel in Christchurch

Rachel and James

The Kings Arms Hotel in Christchurch, Dorset, is just the perfect mix of indoor style and outdoor Englishness. This autumnal wedding had a bit of everything, but the only thing that rivalled the weather was just how damn awesome Rachel and James were. This was just the perfect wedding in every sense, and the Kings Arms Hotel was a fitting back drop.

I met Rachel and the girls in their hotel room, a total flurry of jobs being done, from the confetti being bagged up to the hair and make-up team in full throttle it was a pretty typical wedding morning - things to photograph everywhere! One thing I love about this place is it’s exterior looks very classic, whilst the interior is pure modern. When you couple that with it’s gorgeous ceremony pavilion across the road (complete with “bride crossing” sign) you’ve got a great spot to get hitched.

I met James downstairs in the bar where he was steadying himself with the help of his family (a heavy night before the wedding? ha!) before nipping back up to follow the girls over to the ceremony. I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of that anticipation. Of the couple seeing each other the first time. After the ceremony it was time for garden games, canapés and some photos around the area which Rachel and James just nailed. Once all that was done it was time for food, sparklers and then some dancing before I called it a night. I loved every minute, and I can’t wait to get back to the Kings Arms Hotel for another wedding.

Here’s Rachel and James’s wedding as I saw it.
