Outdoor Wedding at Tournerbury Woods

Zoe and Darren // Tournerbury Woods // Hampshire

Tournerbury Woods on Hayling Island in Hampshire is one of those wedding venues with a bit of everything. What really makes it zing though is that it’s the perfect place for an outdoors wedding ceremony. It’s fully licensed too which is a bonus, meaning you can do the whole thing in one place. Sure, they’ve got a backup space if the weather decides to go all British, but thankfully for Zoe and Darren’s wedding day, it was a glorious summers day.

I met Zoe at their house where all of the bridal gang were getting ready. There is space at Tournerbury to get ready, but they preferred to hang out at home and drive up once they were all dressed up ready for a wedding. I’m not sure how many Prosecco’s were consumed, but it was a good effort for sure. They then made the short trip to Tournerbury Woods on Hayling Island where I met Darren and his best man, along with the guests. It was the perfect setting. a bright sunny day and the outdoor ceremony area looked amazing, festooned with flowers.

Zoe was, to put it mildly, enthusiastic as she made her entrance. She literally shouted “Hey mate!!” as soon as she saw Darren waiting for her at the end of the aisle. They love each other to the core, and laugh more than any couple out there. After the outdoors ceremony, we did the obligatory photos, and everyone just hung out enjoying the day, the music, the food (oh my word, the food!!) and seeing friends and family.

Into the evening and out came the shots, the band fired up, and chaos ensued. The marquee walls being blasted with tunes, and the bar struggling to keep up. I loved every minute. Here’s Zoe and Darren’s wedding at Tournerbury Woods as I saw it.
