Annie and Guy | Dorset House Wedding

There is something about the English countryside. The smell of the flowers, the rolling hills, the warmth of a summers day surrounded by greenery does something to us. It conjures memories of a childhood spent messing about in the fields, kicking a ball around. I think there is a connection there between all of us living in England and the countryside we can call our own.Bury, just over the Hampshire border, nestled in the South Downs is one such place. It is the kind of place poems are written about. A small village, lanes so narrow the car was clearly not in mind when they were first laid down. There is a romance to such places. When Zara at Zara Price Photography was looking for an assistant to help shoot Annie and Guy's big day at Dorset House, I lucked in big time. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_2"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]I arrived early and caught Guy and his pals adding the finishing touches to the reception room. Everything was in keeping with the surroundings. A subtle, fresh feel to the whole day; more village fair than Glastonbury. The sun shines on the lucky, and Annie and Guy's luck was in. A weekend bookended by rain was one of the hottest two days of the year. The sun indeed shone. Annie looked just incredible, with real air of cool about her. I could have photographed these two all year.Below is my take on this corking Dorset House wedding in Bury. Many thanks to Zara for allowing me to lend a hand, and a huge thanks to Dorset House and the village of Bury - I'm truly thankful such places exist.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row admin_label="Row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" use_border_color="off" border_color="#ffffff" border_style="solid"]
